Portfolios: Jon Tarranza

That happy pirate (he's not really a pirate)with the big smile up there is Jon Tarranza. He can pretty much be called as one of the most sought after graphic designers in the city right now. His  graphic design firm/business named Hue Dare that he runs with his girlfriend have been doing really good since it started out in 2011. At Hue Dare they create mind blowing designs for band logos,t-shirts, album covers, and even flyers. It is absolutely a must for you to try and check out their works on Hue Dare's Facebook Page

What I really like about Jon's works are the lines. I mean if you look at some of his works, especially some intended for t-shirt , you will definitely be amazed on how he makes use of those lines to add astonishing details to his designs. I had the opportunity to watch him at work when I tried to see what's happening on a digital art exhibit that took place that year, and I tell you that was a pretty awesome sight. It was like watching a spider creating his web- careful and and precise, and you just know that he is going to create something impressive in the end.

Portfolios: Marvin Consuegra

Marvin "Marx" Consuegra is almost everything that you want to be if you are currently self-teaching your self on how to be a great web designer. He started from the bottom, but now, he can already be  considered as  one of the pioneers of the digital design scene here in Davao City. Marvin now works as a freelance designer   and was able to create good relationships with employers across Australia and US. This guy is also the one responsible for creating the Davao Graphic Designers Community, which I'm pretty sure was one of the catalysts that started out the increase in the number of highly impressive digital designers in the city. He is also  a member in the training committee of DUADD ( Davao United Association of Animators and Designers). And oh! the list goes on and on.

We wanted to put in all of the designs of Marx, including the ones he made for websites and as well as his info graphics, however, "Portfolios" is only focused on illustrations and similar whatnot. If you want to check out his whole body of work, just check out his online portfolio

What I really like about the illustrations made my Marx is that they are all super clean. There is no doubt that he is a very talented illustrator with a deep well of imagination, but what's more impressive about his works is that you will never ever find a stray line or pixel in them.  All is premeditated perfection and that can only be executed by capable hands.

Artist Profile : Alduane Maño

The "Hey check him out" trick has worked for me again. My friend told me about this guy and have described  his worked in such a colorful way that it made me lose some keys on my computer's keyboard because I hustled like crazy to look up his name on Facebook ( exaggeration of course). The imaginary lost keys were all worth it when I saw this guy's artworks. The word " International Stuff " came dancing in my mind as I savored every masterpiece that this guy has. If you check his works  it is quite evident that all of them are made by really masterful hands that were  guided by faith and a really ( really, really, really) creative mind. He actually works as a graphic designer. He has collaborated with bands from all over the world and has made posters for some sick events not only here in Davao but in other countries as well.
