The title says it all. This post is a collection of the motorbikes that I think could make any male an instant chick magnet (not really). I bet even if you have all of these bikes in your garage and you act like total asshole chicks would avoid as if you are a lowly old stinky skunk. On the flip side, if you have even just one of these sexy bikes and you act like a total gentleman, your dreams would come true. You may even get to hook up with your crush since kindergarten. One thing that you need to make sure is to perfect that dramatic removing of the helmet and getting of the bike ritual. Respect the ritual.

If you are a motorbike geek and you are reading this post, please don’t make super geeky motorbike geek comments. Go and talk to your mother about things like “CCs” and horsepower. However, if you are a person who only cares about the beautiful aesthetics on these new age machines, then please tell us about what you think about our list.

 To tell you the truth,I used to think of fixed gear bikes back then as boring and lousy. Yes,  they do look really awesome and all, but I didn't really think that they are quite cut out for the kind of biking adventures that I want to engage myself into. I also don't live in a a city like New York where the urban landscape can offer a commuter a great ride(that's what I feel though). But the one thing that really changed my opinion about Fixed Gear Bikes was the movie "Premium Rush". Watching  the character of Joseph Gordon-Levitt chasing and getting chased while on his crumby-looking fixie was enough to sell me on the idea that a fixed gear should indeed be a part of a urban commuter's arsenal.

There might  be a thousand fixed gear bikes out there and I'm pretty sure that all of them are amazing in their own way but the ones that have attracted me the most are those who's designs are, in my own taste, near perfect. The possibility that I would own one pretty soon is at the same level as the possibility that I would grow the hair which I have lost starting 6 months ago. But hey! I still did shop around and tried to look for the top fixed gear bikes that I wanted to hang in my bike garage one day. The whole searching part was not easy and it didn't end without any causalities. I needed to change my keyboard after it because it got all wet with drool  and messed up after the many hours of looking for the items that will fit well for this list.

           Vendetta Cycles Mad Max

This wicked looking baby from Vendetta Cycles surely takes "mad" to its maximum level. Every little component of this bike is made by the most crafty hands in the industry right now ( Garret Clark and Conor Buescher), the same people who built the "Green Hornet". 

Tokyo Fixed Dart

That's not a bike. That's a ninja with wheels! The Tokyo Fixed Dart by is the materialization  of  sexy plus speed. It looks elegant and it can surely make you swoosh through the road and unknowing pedestrians without them even noticing you. Yeah! I'm talking about stealth.

Oh! since it looks and performs so good, why not keep it in your room where it will be safe and sound each night. Damn! Argonaut Cycles  is a newcomer in the custom bike industry and obviously, they're all about making your dreams of that perfect  carbon machine a reality. 

            Feather Cycles Lo-Pro

Some people, very stupid people, have said that elegance and ruggedness can't exist in something all at the same time. Well, they are wrong, and one  thing that can prove this Cannondale Track  fixie right here. 

There are still a lot of really impressive  fixed gear bikes out there and knowing that makes me feel that I should put more than the seven bikes here in my list. This is the first post in this blog.( okay, that was a pretty boring start). I am actually planning to create some sort of a magazine  that obsessively tells stories about the awesome things that are happening inside Davao City.Back then, I thought that the whole thing is a pretty great idea.However, after a couple of minutes,  I thought that it was just the effect of rum. Almost everybody, once in their lifetime, will be in that moment when they thought that they are being a total genius just for coming up with something that they think that will totally take off--especially if they are under the influence of rum, or gin, or vodka, mixed up with  a little boredom and empty sense of purpose( pretty dramatic moment,I tell you). But everybody also almost certainly forgets about it in the morning. A friend of mine told me that that I just had an "Epiphany.I was not really sure if the guy was right. I never really knew what the word meant, until I looked it up just recently. Well, I admit it now, the guy was somewhat right ( smart guy he is). 

So, because  I just had an "Epiphany"(gay), I will try really hard to waste a lot of your time whenever you visit this blog.  Lucky you, I have been trained by Kurt Vonnegut himself, and he made me swear while my hand was inside a pot of burning coal that I would only write things that is worth anybody's while. ( I'm not really trained by Kurt Vonnegut and I'll probably be writing crappy things that will make you sick for two weeks). The plan is to hunt down the best stories that we could share to the citizens of the city who are obviously starving for something new, not fresh, but new. We are not talking about "NEWS" here. We are talking about something else. An experience. A free tour  in the parts of the city where you have never before. An introduction to strangers. A visual and verbal array that will either entice or disgust( we may have to resort to this option) your senses. And sometimes, if we feel  like it, we will try to give you something that are way beyond those things. Like new knowledge, tips, or even take you to the highly impressive magical world of "senseless bullsh*t in the internet.

I had this post-epiphany epiphany. Not really sure if such thing even exists, but believe me, I experienced it. It all happened when I was setting the whole thing up and asked myself this question- " Are there even any awesome stories  in this city?". If you have been living in this city for quite a long time, you will probably agree with me when I say  that this city is nothing special. It's no New York nor Mogadishu. We don't have world famous influences or 12 year old kids carrying Kalashnikovs walking around or picking their noses or  even just merely standing up feeling awesome and all in the corners of our city. Cebu and Manila certainly kicks our city's ass in terms of stimuli offered to the young generation. There is an obvious lag on  how trends in both culture and style are being transmitted to our city. Well, with things like  geography and economy being considered, there is supposed to be a lag. And damn! knowing that shit is depressing. DAMN! So, will there be stories? We are not really sure, but we are confident that something interesting will come up. And once that happens ( deliberately didn't finish the sentence to avoid writing something inappropriately corny). 

By now, you might already have an idea on what this blog is up to and what is it going to offer. But if you are quite confused, then you you are not alone "amigo". I guess that we just have to let life surprise us this time.
